Handling cash tips, card tips and gratuities in a tip pool

Keep the three kinds separate

Payroll usually treats card tips, declared cash tips and automatic gratuities differently. Tiptrail keeps them apart all the way through: each pool and each employee's share is split into card, cash and gratuity.

Choose what goes in the pool

Untick any of the three and those tips stay with the person who collected them (shown as kept).

No tip columns?

Some exports only have hours. Type each pool's tips into Add tips; the split still uses the hours from your file.
